Krishna Bauer is a character that I love to pen. She is
passionate, capable, and fragile all at once. A proud rebel and free spirit,
she is introduced in The Scars of Survival as a young woman who is hunting for
her relocated lover during WW II. Her loyalty sends her spiraling down a life
altering path that she inadvertently drags her younger sister into with her. Her
turbulent journey gives a raw and emotional glimpse into the strength and
adaptation of the female spirit. Her journey continues in Wearing the Scars! Find it on Amazon Pre-Order Here!

The woman was
lucky if she stood all of five feet. Her blonde hair was lighter than the
harvest grain and it sparkled twice as bright. Perhaps her vivid silk gown was
meant as a warning. It had flapped in competition to the sails when a good
breeze took the harbor.
She agreed to be my father’s woman and despite what oaths they uttered before the Gods and their people, the fates had a humor all of their own.
I have no explanation for what happened after that day on the hill. If I could go back to that day... it would have all been different. I would have drowned her with my bare hands and smiled while doing so. She robbed my kin of their good name, cost us everything our people had worked for, and even worse, now there was a serpent to Nastrond reserved in my name!
Despite it all, I still can’t decide if she was the greatest love of my life, or my sweetest of regrets. Let me start from the beginning, I’ll let you decide...

and if they do... Will they recognize themselves despite The Scars of Survival they have collected along the way?

The Scars of Survival Pre-Order
Born to an era that refuses to accept her kind, Krishna
Bauer soon finds herself on the wrong side of the Gestapo during the hunt for
her beloved, Rebekkah.
What love compelled quickly turns into a suffocating
nightmare. Nazi intervention places both
Krishna and her younger sister Emmalyn on a desperate journey of self-
preservation and identity amidst a women’s concentrations camp.
Will the polar-opposite siblings survive the purgatory known
as Ravensbruck?
If they do, will they recognize themselves through the scars
of their survival?
